Identification and research themes

The Speech Prosody Studies Group is a research team of five full researchers and six students from three Brazilian universities, the State University of Campinas, the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo, and the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais. All work produced by its members refers to speech prosody, within an experimental approach couched in dynamical systems theory. Our publications embrace the following disciplines: Experimental Phonetics, Speech pathology, Speech sciences. The group was formed in 2002 aiming at promoting experimental prosody research, by means of activities such as teaching, working papers presentations, participation in speech sciences’ conferences.

Nowadays the group works in six main areas:
